My young friend Ed Sheeran’s latest track “Galway Girl” has been savaged by some critics so I’m here to set the record straight with how bad it almost was. As regular listeners may know I’m connected out the wazoo to loads of famous people and go to all their killer parties while maintaining the quiet life of contemplation and dignity associated with the priesthood. Ed sent me on his original demo for what was to become Galway Girl and I knew he was in trouble. Not only that, I said that nobody should ever hear this song. It’ll ruin your career.
